The building, which opened in 1956 to serve the Danish Labour Movement, is a gesamtkunstwerk, meaning Lauritzen designed every detail from doorknobs, staircases, and power outlets to furniture and lighting fixtures. Today, the building has transformed into a concert hall named Vega, still showcasing many of the original design elements.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Among the assortment of lighting pieces created by Lauritzen for the building, the VL 56 Pendant remains above the wooden bar adjacent to the main concert hall.
