The design provides a high storage capacity. The drawer fronts finished in walnut veneer contrasting with the case. The full-height mirror is hung between the units and a black vitrolite glass shelf bridges the two. A highly functional design providing his/hers storage and a generous scale of mirror.

The Hilleplan range was designed in 1952 and based around an 18inch module. It was Robin Day’s first storage system that reached production following his award-winning design for MOMA.

The Hilleplan range of units were designed to offer users flexibility and to work singularly, or as part of a system. It was quite different to anything else in the market at the time.

The cabinets and drawer sets were produced with an Agbar carcass and a selection of different veneered fronts could be specified. The simple cut-out drawer-pull and turned leg create a restrained modernist aesthetic.

Robin Day went to design several other storage systems that anticipated the demand for flexible needs in both domestic and commercial interiors.

Dimensions:
141w x 45d x 140cmh

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0032/4966/8207/products/Robin_Day_Hilleplan_dresser_01_0.jpg?v=1571711858
